Moanais the latest in the long line of Disney live-action adaptations of its past animated movies, but it is not off to a solid start critically. In fact, the early Rotten Tomatoes scores before its release are lower than the Snow White live-action remake, which was one of the biggest bombs of all the remakes. As of publication, the live-action Moana remake sits at 36% on Rotten Tomatoes with 59 reviews. Disney's Snow White finished with 39% and 276 reviews.
