Status quos and character development are fickle in Marvel Comics, most of all in Spider-Man comics. Likewise, some characters may inevitably regress to their previous iconography or traditional traits, even if they had spent nearly a decade with a whole new personality and characteristics that challenged how stagnant their development had been in the past, though it can also be argued that new developments for classic Spider-Man characters aren’t always as successful or progressive as they could be.
