Supernatural is one of the few TV shows that has made such a lasting impact that it would be nearly impossible to reboot the series with a fresh cast, but looking at the story from a different lens could lead to an interesting interpretation. The original series, which aired from 2005 through 2020 on The WB and The CW, followed Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) and his younger brother, Sam (Jared Padalecki) as they traveled across the continental US hunting monsters, demons, ghosts, and dozens of other supernatural beings. The show's longevity meant that it developed a deep and unshakable fanbase.
